Zimbabwe House Makeover

Hey FreedomSkate supporters!

We have had a crazy few weeks here ( one reason why we haven't finished the webby!!)
I First read about this House Makeover after I was back from the skate. I personally
am not a fan on kids to be completely honest . but to do something
for a third world country and to make a difference , that I was proud to do.

when I first went and saw the house I was a bit mind boggled and how much work we would need to do ,
at first I was just going to turn up with some friends to help , then I offered the fact that i could try get sponsorship
for the landscape supplies , then I was asked to draw up a plan too . . .
dscf9221-blog
Gavin who I worked with very closely on this amazing opportunity asked "if you knew it was going to be this hard would
you do it again?" " absolutley" I replied.
it has been an incredible two months working on this project , I have been blown away by people's generosity and by the help
that people gave me , during the cold night and miserable pouring rain . You guys are stars!!

Once this house is sold the money will be going to a Orphanage in Zimbabwe where it will be able to save 20 kids life's, what an amazing
opportunity to reach out and bless someone so less fortunate than us , I know that this Will benefit generation after generation.

and I can't thank KiwiLink enough for their amazing work they continue to do in Zimbabwe , mad respect to you.

Hope alls well with you , thanks for checking us out!

Love Tomo

Welcome to the new FreedomSkate website

Welcome to the brand new website of the charitable trust, FreedomSkate. It's fairly sparse at the moment, but over time we will be fleshing it out with whats going with FreedomSkate now, and also where FreedomSkate has come from. Many of you will have visited our previous site from 2009.  For now this is still available here. We aim to transfer all the good stuff from that site to this new one, so that you can see it all in the one great place.

Please check back often, we hope to keep this site up-to-date with what's going down in the 'FreedomSkate World'.

Thanks Rolls Rolls

Skating Just over 2000kms wasn't the easiest thing that i have achieved in my little life span, however choosing a long-distance pusher and a specially made board for the amount of k's I did is crucial and will either make or break your trip.

I was blessed and so lucky to be sponsored by Rollsrolls. They kindly donated me two Rollsrolls Woody's for my New Zealand Skate.

The woody definitely makes people's heads turn, it's not your usual looking longboard, with its deep drop down and it's raised mudguards - its one sweet looking board!

Having a board that low to the ground gives you efficient pushing at a level which allows you to push on for longer at a greater distance. During my trip i managed to skate 153kms in a 24hour period and I know that without the woody it would have made things even harder.

I can't thank Rollsrolls enough for believing in my dream and for supplying me with an amazing board! For more info on Rollsrolls check their website out at www.rollsrolls.com.
